Diane Louise Welch Shepard

Diane was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on December 10, 1943 to Thomas and Louise Welch. Diane was a graduate of the Morgan School, met the love of her life and husband of 60 years, Bion (Shep) Shepard. Diane loved the Town of Clinton and raised her family there surrounded by her parents, brothers and sister. Diane spent 25 years working for the Town of Clinton as the Registrar of Voters and over 30 years selling real estate in Clinton for Lively Real Estate and its successors. Diane and her loving husband Shep found great joy in travelling the world over the last 20 years, visiting 48 states and 23 countries. Diane was immensely proud of raising her four daughters to be strong, successful, and independent women.

Diane is survived by her loving and devoted husband Shep, her four daughters, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; daughter Tracy Shiring and husband Mark of Deep River, granddaughters Katelyn and Emma; daughter Kathy Tessman and husband Ed of Clinton, grandson Andrew and fiancé Megan Rose Jones, great granddaughter Aundrey Anne, grandsons Ethan and Henry; daughter Kerry Wegmann and husband Tres of Katy, Texas, grandsons Trevor and Zachary; and daughter Luray Shepard of Clinton.

Diane is also survived by her four brothers, Tom, David, Ted and Jack and sister, Paula.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Louise, and two brothers, Stephen and James Welch.

Friends may call at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton on Saturday March 16, 2024 from 10am-12pm.
