

Evelyn Ann Jensen of Clinton, CT passed away on March 11, 2026 at the age of 84. She was born on September 19, 1941 in Staten Island, New York. She was raised in Stamford, CT but later resided in Gautier, MS, Groton, CT and Clinton, CT.
Evelyn was actively involved in the Clinton Senior Connection, Mindset Group, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In Mississippi, she was an active member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church and The Lord is My Help Food Kitchen in Ocean Springs, MS.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Harold Jensen, brother-in-law William Finn, and nephew George Payne, Jr.
Evelyn is survived by her loving children Kris (partner Joe), Rick (wife Rebecca), and Sheila, her beloved sister Dorothy (husband George), and sister-in-law Joyce. She was a proud and devoted Grandma to Owen, Ella, Jennifer (husband Sergio), and a cherished Great Grandma to Elliot and Dylan, who brought her so much joy. She also leaves behind cherished extended family members and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, warmth, and the special way she made everyone feel loved.
Evelyn was a devoted Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She loved her “Tribe” fiercely, was the Mother of many, and positively touched so many lives over her life. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed. Her greatest joy in life was her family and friends who she loved deeply and unconditionally. In return she was loved beyond words and by all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E Main St, Clinton, CT 06413, on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00pm. Family and friends are invited to attend the Church Service at St Paul Lutheran Church, 56 Great Hammock Rd., Old Saybrook, CT 06475 on Saturday April 4, 2026 at 11:00 am.
Interment will be at a later date at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Ave, Stamford, CT 06905.
