SHIPMAN, Janet A. February 23, 1941 - December 20, 2011. Janet A. Shipman passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimers at the Chestelm Nursing Home in East Haddam, CT. Loving mother of Cathleen and her husband Fred Tharin, Thomas and his wife Laura Shipman, and William and his wife Diane Shipman. Cherished grandmother of Timothy, Caitlyn, James, Liam, Jamie, Kelsey, Brianna, Olivia, and Great Grandmother of Kinzy. Survived by her brother, Fred Schroeder and her long time friend, Tom Kores. Predeceased by her mother and father, Agnes and Frederick Schroeder and brother Robert Schroeder. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Killingworth Congregational Church in Killingworth, CT.
