

Jean Harriet Mizenko age: 90, wife of Robert Anthony Mizenko, since 1950, currently residing in Clinton, Ct, and formerly a long time resident of Wallingford, CT, passed away on November 1, 2015 at Apple Health Care Facility after a brief battle with cancer with her family by her side. Jean was born on June 11, 1925 in Dallas, PA, to Ida and Harry Davidson.
Jean was long retired from Auburn Carpet Warehouse and Caldor’s Department Store, both of which she enjoyed working at. She also enjoyed her trips to Aruba and her yearly ritual of visiting Hammonasset Beach with family every New Years day, as well as playing Bingo and going to shows at Mohegan Sun Casino. Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Robert (Bob), she is survived by and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Denise Barbes and husband Jimmie, Margaret Wendt and husband Greg, her grandchildren Patrick Wendt and Matthew Wendt, all of Clinton Ct. as well as her granddaughter Kimberly Izzo Colitz, her husband Ed, and her great grandsons Nicholas and Alexander from Florida. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, Audrey and Michael Mizenko, of Wallingford and Emily Thorne, of Luzerne, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mabel Bonner, Dorothy Costick, Miriam Osterhout, and grandson Marc Anthony Izzo. A Celebration of Life will be private in the coming days.
