Jeffrey J. Bellinger

4/16/1969 – 2/21/2026

Jeffrey Joseph Bellinger, 56 years old, of Clinton, CT died peacefully on February 21st, 2026 surrounded by his wife of thirty-four years and their seven kids, after a years-long battle with Neuroendocrine Cancer.

Jeff was born in Albany, NY on April 16th, 1969 to Arthur (Jeffrey) and Claire Bellinger. He attended Colonie Central High School before attending Hudson Valley Community College, where he earned his Associates Degree. Though he knew his wife Jacqueline in high school, they connected on March 1st, 1991 at Donovan’s Bar & Grille in Colonie, New York. After a whirlwind romance, they were engaged just three months later on May 24th, 1991 in her childhood home. He proposed by laying a rose on each step leading to her room – each accompanied by a note with a reason he loved her. They were married November 2nd of that same year. The following November they were blessed with the first of their seven children, the last being born on their anniversary in 2004.

In high school, he started his career in the car business, working as a lot attendant. Over the years he worked his way up, becoming a General Manager, a title he held through the remainder of his career. Jeff was a graduate of the National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) Academy. He was the recipient of multiple awards and achievements throughout his career, highlighting his dedication and passion for the business.

While Jeff was known for his love of boating, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. Outside of work, his world revolved around making lasting memories with his wife and children. He treasured their many family traditions, such as weekly family pizza and movie nights, and vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland.

His family will remember him for his many wonderful traits, but greatest among them was his selflessness. He always put his family first, and found fulfillment in placing their needs before his own. Those closest to him appreciated his quick wit and dry sense of humor.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Arthur Jeffrey Bellinger. He is survived by his mother Claire Bellinger, and his two sisters Dawn Kelly (Mike) and Sue Walter (Ken), as well as his loving wife Jackie “Jack”, and their children Nick (Brittany), Scott (Bree), Greg, Ryan (Lacey), Grace (Jake), Todd, and Luke. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Nora, Emma, Eleanore, Hunter, Arya, and Colton, with a new arrival due in August.

Memorial services will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton, CT 06413, on Saturday February 28th. Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, followed by remembrances from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. The family invites you to join them at Clinton Bible Fellowship after the service.
