

She was born on September 21, 1940, in Guilford, the daughter of Gertrude Northam Jackson Olszanski and Raymond Floyd Jackson.
Karen married Howard L. Fisher on October 24, 1964.
She was a graduate of Branford High School and was employed at A&P Tea Co., and Rose Labs, before retiring in 2006. Karen enjoyed baking and also spent much of her time gardening. Karen will most be remembered for her hearty laugh and her Sunday family dinners followed by desserts, especially her sour cream cake.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her nieces and nephews Jennifer Jackson Kalogerinis, Judy Zuraski Peterson, Kimberly Jackson Perno, Christopher Jackson, Tracy Fisher Distillo, Kim and Jennifer Fisher, Shannnon Fisher Boynton, Cindy Burness, Sherry Brown Suarez; 4 grand nieces and 2 grand nephews; sister-in-laws Arlene Burness, Ardelle Hill; and her brother-in-law Richard Fisher. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Jackson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 12th at 3pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. A calling hour will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. To sign the online guest book visit www.swanfh.com.
