Kenneth was born on December 11, 1939, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Phillip P. Archer and Dorothy Lyons Archer.
Kenneth was a devoted husband, loving father, Veteran and proud firefighter, and faithful servant to his community. He dedicated over 50 years of his life to the fire service in Clinton as a volunteer firefighter and Past Assistant Chief, answering the call whenever duty required. Ken was a longtime member and officer of the American Legion, where he proudly served his fellow veterans and upheld the values of service and patriotism.
Professionally, Kenneth worked in CNC machine installation and repair, where he was known for his strong work ethic, technical skill, and reliability.
Above all else, Kenneth was a family man whose greatest joy was his wife, Barbara (“Barbie”) Archer. Married for 62 beautiful years, they shared a love that was steady, faithful, and deeply rooted. Barbie was truly the love of his life, and when she passed, she took a piece of his heart with her—a space that was never filled.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Archer; his son, Kenneth Archer Jr.; and his brother, Thomas Archer.
He is survived by his two sons, Raymond Scott Archer and his wife Virginia, and Kevin Archer and his wife Valorey; His Sister In-Law Dottie Simonidies (Gerry) his nephew Greg; his niece, Cheryl Kassoy; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Clinton Fire Department or the American Legion Post 66 in Clinton, in Kenneth’s memory.
