Robert (Bob) Howell Emack, 81, lifelong resident of Clinton, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021. Born on September 22, 1940 in Guilford, CT, he was the son of the late Raymond Emack and Marjorie (Crampton) Emack. Robert was a Morgan graduate of the class of 1958. Robert worked for 20 years as a mechanic at Coleman’s Service Station, and another 22 years as a millwright for Algonquin Industries. He married his wife of 59 years, Jeanette (Downs) Emack.
Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, backyard picnics, and playing pool at the Westbrook Senior Center. He was a 15 year member of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as an Engineer.
He found his joy in being able to tinker with and/or fix most things for his friends and neighbors, and his ability to collect most anything. If you needed one, chances are he had one, or two, or three.
Bob will be greatly missed by his wife, Jeanette as well as sons Jeffery (Heather), and Joe (Lisa), grandchildren Nick, Heidi, Melanie and Andrew, as well as his sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Guilford Apple Rehab for the excellent care that was provided to Bob during his stay, as well as Clinton EMS and Hunters for the transports that were needed.
A graveside service will be held for Robert on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11am at Indian River Cemetery, located on Cemetery Road in Clinton, CT. Reception to follow at the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department
