

He was born on June 30, 1925, in Little Rock, Ark., the son of Walter and Francis (Patoka) Goin.
He was the loving husband of Jean Hopkins Goin. They shared 51 beautiful years together and he missed her desperately after her passing in 2012.
His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. . He was the kindest, sweetest man in the world and we will miss him deeply.
Bill was served in the US Navy for 22 years and retired a Sr. Chief Petty Officier. He was a veteran of World War II, and the Korean War. Following his naval service, he was employed by, and retired after 18 years in sales for Bethlehem Steel.
Bill is survived by his children William E. Goin and his wife Kathy, and Frances Ann Goin all of Almeda, CA; his stepson Thomas D. Newcomb and his wife Linda of Westbrook; grandchildren Lindsay, Dana, Chris, Molly,Peggy, and Sal; great grandson Brendon, and hid step brother Edward Hemmann and his wife Roberta of Deep River. He was also predeceased by his brothers Walter and Ronald.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 6th from 4-7pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. Burial with military honors will be on Wednesday January 7th at 11am at Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. To sign the online guest book visit www.swanfh.com.
