Cloteal Rose (Duncan) Daigre passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. In 2013, she moved to the Graceland Care Center located in New Albany, MS 2003, after the passing of her husband, Felix A. Daigre, Sr. They were long time residents of Clinton, MS.
Cloteal was born to John Will and Lulu (Dodson) Duncan on June 20. 1921. She grew up in the Mississippi community of Pulaski on the Duncan farm. After graduation from Morton High School, Teal attended Baptist Hospital Nursing School where she received an LPN license. Teal worked in the medical field, but her true gift was caring for family members and neighbors. She loved being surrounded by beautifully grown roses and azaleas where family portraits were always expected on Easter. Teal also enjoyed having her family together for a Saturday night fish fry or holiday meals.
Cloteal is preceded by her parents, husband, Felix A. Daigre, Sr.; sisters Nett Lou, Erma Lee, and Lorene; brothers, Billy Wayne and Alton. Teal's survivors include her son Felix "Freddy" A. Daigre, Jr., his wife Eppie, grandson, Romeo, and great-grand children Ben, Stephanie, Roland, and Marissa her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne (Daigre) Bunyard and Michael D. Bunyard and their two children Lara (Bunyard) and Jarrod Hunt, Christopher Bunyard, Natalie Siracusa and their daughter Rose Estelle born on January 11, 2013. Also, brothers John Will Duncan and Alton, her niece Liz Ravencraft and her nephews, the Jones brothers.
Funeral services will be held at Wright and Ferguson in Clinton, MS on Friday, March 29, 2013. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. Dr. Bill Baker will preside over the memorial service at 11:30 am, then close the service with a graveside prayer at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson MS.
