Douglas Gene Nettles

Mr. Nettles was a native of McComb, MS who grew up in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Meadville High School. Mr. Nettles was a pharmaceutical sales representative for 42 years, last being with Amerisource Bergin, after his retirement he began a lawn care service. Mr. Nettles was a member of Parkway Baptist Church for the past 47 years where he served as deacon.

Mr. Nettles is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee and Lula Nettles and two brothers James Harold Nettles and Henry Lee Nettles, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Anna Nettles of Clinton; one son, Stephen Nettles of Jackson; two daughters, Julia Hill and her husband Steven of Madison and Jennifer McHann and her husband Ryan of Clinton; his brother Jewell Nettles of Lake Charles, LA and three grandchildren Beaty Elizabeth Hill, Hayden Douglas Hill and Chloe Grace McHann; and two very special hunting buddies David Wall and Claude Pearsons.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Parkway Baptist Church and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center for their love and care. In lieu of flowers family prefers memorials to the Salvation Army.
