Ann Doris Micallef, age 96, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 7, 1929 in Brantford, Ontario to the late Benjamin and Pauline Zahra.
Ann was the heart and soul of her family — outgoing, friendly, and endlessly supportive. A true people person, she had a natural gift for making others feel welcome and valued. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she devoted her life to raising her children with strong morals, deep faith, and enduring family values. Self-sacrificing and generous, Ann was always there with encouragement, wise counsel, and unconditional love.
She cherished her friendships and maintained them faithfully over the years. Known for her punctuality and personal flair, Ann never missed her weekly hair appointment and delighted in having her nails done and enjoying a little pampering at the spa. She believed in taking care of herself so she could better care for others.
Ann found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cross stitching, completing word search puzzles, reading a good book, and preparing delicious meals for those she loved. Her rose garden was a source of pride and peace, reflecting the care and attention she gave to everything she nurtured. Summers and special moments were treasured at the family cottage on Walpole Island, where laughter and memories were shared across generations.
Above all, Ann adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she poured her love, time, and wisdom into each of them.
A proud and devoted parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, Ann’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She lived her beliefs daily through kindness, compassion, and service to others.
Ann’s legacy is one of love, faith, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
