Barbara was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, along with her four siblings and remained a true Detroiter throughout her life.
She graduated from South Eastern High School, and then worked in office administration until retirement.
Barb held a strong work ethic, but also new the importance of relaxation and time well spent with family and friends.
Visits with her family were always fun and memorable. Barb could at times, choose to be reclusive, but was also often the life of the party or event, with a swarm of the oldest and youngest alike buzzing around her, drawn in by her amusing and charismatic personality.
Barbara had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good joke and christened it with her kind hearted laugher. She enjoyed working in her garden and held a great deal of knowledge of many varieties of flowers. She enjoyed reading the newspaper and loved music and cinema. Barbara held a special place in her heart for the music of Frank Sinatra. She had a keen fashion sense with fun statement pieces that demonstrated her creative and artistic flair.
Barb was a true animal lover and pet parent to many cats throughout her life. She was a friend to the lost and forgotten, many of which she rescued.
Barbara, Aunt Barb, Great Aunt Barb, or even Great, Great Aunt Barb, as many of us refer to her, will be missed greatly. She was a kind hearted, fun lady, that enriched the lives of all who loved her. We will cherish the memories of good times and fun, and we will keep the lessons she taught us alive in our own lives.
