

Brant Joseph Gniewek, age 30, formerly of Michigan, passed away suddenly in Chicago, Illinois. He was born January 8, 1983. He worked as a funder for Interbank Mortgage. He was dedicated to helping victims of cancer and started a cancer non profit organization called “52 for 52” to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for cancer. His goal was to run 52 races in 52 weeks with each race dedicated to a different cancer patient. And was a supporter of Immerman Angels, a group that provided support for families of cancer patients. He is survived by his parents Stanley and Terry Gniewek; siblings Blain (Vickie), and Brad (Cori). He was the uncle to Connor, Madilyn, Emery, Mason, Evelyn, Mykia, Easton, Layla, and Caralyn. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, hundreds of cousins, and beloved friends everywhere. He was the one person that could walk into any room and brighten the room with just his smile. Visitation will be Friday 6-9:00 p.m., Saturday 9-Noon, and 1:00 p.m. until time of service 5:00 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. Officiating will be Brad Gniewek. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to 52 for 52 would be appreciated.
