She was a proud mother and grandmother, a dedicated friend, and a trustworthy partner-in-crime with her siblings. Cheryl loved with all her heart, always putting the needs of others over her own. There was nothing she would not do to help her family whom she loved spending time with above all. Cheryl had a way of bringing and keeping family together. She had the MOST contagious laugh which could often be heard filling the air of family gatherings, sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.
Cheryl loved to cozy up with a good book, and the thrill of a scary movie, often persuading her children to be terrified along with her. Her creativity and wit was exemplified by the poems and riddles that she would write for family members on special occasions. She also enjoyed going on road trips with her siblings to casinos to try her luck at the slots; though to Cheryl, the true jackpot was the time spent with loved ones.
Cheryl did not do anything in half-measures. She worked tirelessly well into her golden years so that she could continue to support her family and spoil her grandchildren thoroughly.
She fought with all her strength. Cheryl battled fiercely with cancer for four years, never once complaining or despairing - Choosing instead to focus on continuing to find joy and laughter, and bringing it to others.
She reunites now with her beloved husband and friend Bill Beetham and her parents Helen and Clarence Spear. Cheryl is survived by her children, Brad (Kelly) Beetham, Brian Beetham, Jodi (Leo) Melise, Melissa (Jason) Stratton; grandchildren, Chance, Brandon (Kylie), Jordan, Shauna (Jose), Abbie, Elliette, Aela, Iris; great-granddaughters, Sophia, Mila; siblings, Sandra Monfette, Danny (Cyndi) Spear, Terry Spear, Jill (Mike) Budzilek; and many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and friends.
