Darline Genevieve DenDooven, age 83, of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away suddenly on March 5, 2026. Darline was born on November 20, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Theodore and Louise Dunaske. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) DenDooven.
A devoted mother and matriarch, Darline is lovingly remembered by her children: Michael Davis (Guilene), James Davis (Lora), and Jacqueline White (the late Larry). She was a treasured “mom” to her granddaughter Samantha Shaw, and a beloved granny to Mitchell Davis (Athra), Joshua Davis (Marizza), Sara Troppens (Jason), Emily White, Sean Davis, and Elijah White. Darline delighted in being great-grandmother to Mina Davis, Aaron Davis, and Andrew Davis, and she was overjoyed at the thought of welcoming four more great-grandchildren due to arrive in the coming months. She was the dearest sister of the late Theodora Tanner and sister to Dianna Boris (Darryl) and Donna Kovich (James). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family was the center of Darline’s life. Those who knew her will remember her warm presence, steady support, and the quiet strength she offered to everyone around her. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and delighted in family gatherings, where her kindness and sense of care were always on display.
