David Wayne Swastek, born on February 19, 1966 to the late Stanley and the late Frances (Paye) Swastek. He was a loving father to sons' Andrew David Swastek and Johnathan Edward Swastek and stepfather to Tori Phillips and Lacey Phillips.
He is also survived by his brother and sisters Kathy (Rich) Wallace, Daniel (Daisy) Swastek, Shirley Swastek, Diana (Paul) Wojciechowski, and Lee (Kelly) Berry-Mort. He was a beloved uncle to his nephews and nieces: Joseph, Christina, Alex, Tyler, Khelsea, Sarah, Tyler, and Nicole.
Dave was a kind caring man whom raised his boys with lots of love and laughter. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was never afraid to create experiments in the kitchen. As an avid muscle car enthusiast, Dave spent much of his time in the garage working on his cars and practicing anger management. Dave loved to cook and crowned himself "King of the Ghoulash”. He was never in short supply of a joke in any occasion. Dave carried deep love for his family, as they did for him. He will always be loved and remembered.
Visitation for David will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4 pm until 7 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Services will be held at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038
