Dr. Donald Raymond Brosky, D.D.S. of Chesterfield, MI passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 82. He was born on March 31, 1939, in Detroit, MI and is preceded in death by parents John and Mary (Slisky) and siblings John and Maryann (Welke).
Donald was a loving husband of 62 years to wife Joan (LaPosta). Donald and Joan were wed at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores on August 8, 1959.
A 1957 graduate of De LaSalle Collegiate High School in Detroit, Donald was Co-Captain of the Pilots’ 1956 City Championship team. He was inducted into the De LaSalle Collegiate Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.
Dr. Brosky was a proud member of the first graduating class of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1964. He went on to practice dentistry in the greater Detroit area for over 56 years before retiring in 2020.
Don and Joan raised a family of five children: Donald and Carol (Paluzzi), Lynn Paluzzi and Will Matthews, David and Sheryl (Gordon), Matthew and Lisa (Carnaghi), and Christopher and Alisha (Roberts). He was the proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren: Jason, Matthew, Mario, Allison, Kelly, Stefani, Margaret, Nick, Megan, Caroline, David, Leah, Daniel, Veronica, Madison, Buddy, Evan, Austin, and Cody. He was a loving great-grandfather to Ayden, Chloe, Harper, Louis, Nicholas, Alena, Addison, Leo, and Lorna.
Don was an avid and expert woodworker. He loved golfing as a twosome with Joan, with his Tuesday golf buddies, and for 25 years with his sons on their annual golf getaway.
Donald was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mt. Clemens.
Visitation: Thursday, August 19 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI, from 3:00-8:00pm. Funeral Mass: Friday, August 20 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mt. Clemens, In-state 9:00 am; mass at 9:30 am.
