Donald D. Steinway passed away on October 30, 2025, in Spring Hill, Florida, at the age of 84. Born on June 13, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, Donald was the loving son of the late Marvin and Yvonne Steinway.
He was the proud father of Jeff (Dawn) Steinway and Lori (Glenn) Bowles; cherished grandfather of Celeste (Rob), Chelsea (Alex), and Taylor (Paul); and adoring great-grandfather of five. Donald is also survived by his love and companion Joanne Cooke; and the mother of his children Joanne Steinway.
A lifelong Michigan resident for 69 years, he embraced the sunshine and spent his time boating and enjoying the water before moving to Florida. Always active and full of energy, he loved keeping busy—whether it was working on the house, tackling projects, or lending a hand to others.
Donald will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for family, and the way he found joy in the simple things in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will follow on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 am.
