Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerome Przebienda; her children Dawn Martino (Vince) and Chris Przebienda (Cynthia); her grandsons Nick Przebienda, Jacob Przebienda and Ben Murphy; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Bronislaw and Anna Rakowski and sisters Henrietta Donakowski and Barbara Lacinski.
Donna grew up in Detroit, close to the border of the Warrendale community. She married her husband Jerome on January 30, 1969, and soon after they bought a house 2 doors down from her parents. Donna and Jerry spent almost 55 years in their Detroit home where they raised their family before moving to Clinton Township to be closer to their children. Donna also became infatuated with the “Cottage Life” when she and Jerry purchased a lakeside property in Harrison, Michigan in 1996. She enjoyed many summer days and holiday weekends at the cottage, hosting her children, grandkids, extended family and friends alike who would come and share in the “Cottage Life” experiences with her.
Donna was an avid Detroit Tigers fan for almost all her life. Join us with the thing that Donna enjoyed most, The Detroit Tigers. Please wear your favorite Tigers gear for visitation and funeral mass, as this would have been what Donna wanted.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 2-8 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. Following on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 a brief in-state gathering will begin at 9:30 AM and go until time of funeral mass at 10 AM at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
