Doris Amormino, age 78, of Sterling Heights, passed away on September 11, 2020 at 11:28am on her daughter’s birthday. In the midst of the shadows of darkness and uncertainty, Doris was a piercing rainbow of light and hope. She was humble and kind to everyone. She loved all of her children and her grandchild Bianca.
Doris fiercely fought a 6 year battle with cancer. She stopped working as an accountant at age 73. Moreover, when she was just 18 years old when she emigrated from Germany.
Doris was born to the late Benno and Wilma Ludewig on January 11th of 1942; loving mother to Natashia Rosa Amormino, Benno Salvatore Amormino and Vincenzo Benno Amormino; cherished sister to the late Wolfgang Ludgewig, the late Axel Ludgewig, and Benno Ludgewig.
The family will greet friends at St. Lawrence Church, 44633 Utica Road, instate 10:30am until the time of mass at 11:00am. Doris will be laid to rest at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan.
