MOM,

Your suffering has now ended and you can relax and celebrate.  Over the years, you have provided support, guidance and love to last a lifetime.  The memories are vast and everlasting.  From the days of wrapping braces on my legs for me to walk to eventually running around the house avoiding you and the wooden spoon.  Honestly, Jim started it.  At the end of the day no matter what happened, I made sure I was the first to the couch at night to get my feet rubbed after a long day of playing or swimming in the backyard.  I am sure you did this because you liked too and loved me and not just to take the handwritten note to the corner gas station for a pack of Viceroy 100's in the gold pack.
You were always doing something for the family; working midnights, transporting us to school, laundry, making special birthday cakes, planning meals and/or just letting us have fun with friends.  I have to admit the 7-layer dinner just doesn't taste the same when others make it.  By the way, I am still not a liver and beets fan and you will be the only one that had the power to make me eat it.
You were always giving and the holidays were always exciting for you to provide gifts ordered throughout the year.  The entire family I am sure remembers a special gift they received.  Whether it was practical, funny, what the heck am I going to do with that, or darn those underwear are not going to fit.  The gifts and the smile on your face in giving will never be forgotten.  The holidays will never be the same again.

I am glad during the last years of fighting the many health challenges, you and dad were able to get out and go to Comerica Park.  Whether it was you in the stands watching me play on the field and hit the ball over the fence or going down to see the Tigers play.  The memories are worth every penny.  I know you will continue to be by my side but I will have to finish my beer on my own now.
You by far were the strongest women anyone could have ever met.  No matter what set back, you continued to try and get back on your feet and fight through it.  You endured more than anyone should and are an inspiration to all.  You may not of hit the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes but you struck gold in everyone's heart by providing them great memories.  Hopefully, their memories are as good as yours (the memory of an elephant).
Now that you are in heaven, relax with a glass of ice tea, white wine or a sip of beer and continue to watch over the family, friends and everyone you have made an impact on.  If we veer in the wrong direction, send us a sign.  Whether it is the hand cut footprints or some other sign we will find our way back to our treasure which is YOU and GOD.
I never said it enough until lately, I Love You with all my heart.

Aunt Doris, Time spent with you was always fun and loving. I am blessed to have known you and your wonderful family. You will be remembered fondly and with love.We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers, holding you all close in our hearts. with all our love, Kobi, Kim and Marge Lula

I will not forget her hospitality when I and my son visited her at her home a year or so ago. She was very nice and had a great sense of humor.  She will be sadly missed.

Doris was and still is a very kind and loving person. My son Paul called her mom and enjoyed being with her Jay, joe and Jim. May she rest with the Angels now and forever. Joe and Jim I am truly sorry for your loss. Mom Brown❤
