Dear Brother Earl. What a fine man of God you were, I'm proud to have known you and attended Christian Cathedral Church. I have a picture of you Baptizing my youngest son Richard in the lake At a picnic we went to with Church. I think it was Big white Fish Lake. I know your rejoicing in heaven, and I will see you again, my brother in Christ.🙏

Just sitting here thinking about you and the time you came to visit me.  I was little.I could see your feet before than your face.  I thought they were so hugh and you were sooooo tall.   I love you.

Father Earl, Ma Pat had a bear made for me with some of your clothes.  He,Teddy, sits on my bed.  There he will stay because I feel you are near. Forever in my heart.  Your daughter, Dianne

Father Earl here it is Christmas time.  I will very much miss the card you shared words with ma Pat that said, "we love you".  You are dearly missed and loved forever.

I think of you very often.  I know you are happy there with loved ones. 

I will see you again one day and we can rejoice and sing many songs together.

Uncle Earl is surely missed. Uncle Earl was a man of God.  My family and I had so many good times with Aunt Pat & Uncle Earl, but nothing will compare to the best of times we will have eternally. I will continue to pray for the family.

How is it that a loved one is sometimes appreciated more in death than in life?  Although I appreciated you father Earl with all my heart while you were here on earth, I came to realize as I looked upon your still quite tender face, it wasn't enough. Uncle Earl was the best Uncle in the world, always  looking for the best in people. Leading  them to Christ .Quoting scripture.expecting good from you.wanting to take you home and share what he had with you .Which was The Lord..I,m so thankful for the little bit of time I spent with him the first of June.

Countless times you asked me, "when are you comming to Detroit?"  My answer was always, "I am coming to see you one day."  All you did was laugh and say, "OK, I'm gonna see."  I will be on my way in a few more hours to see you.  My heart is burdened that it took your death to get me there. Bro. Earl was a great friend to my father and family.He's one of vary few men I looked up to.He truly was a man of God.He talked the talk and walked the walk.Im proud to say I knew him for many years.When you were around him u dident talk,u listened.They just dont make them like that anymore.Love u Bro.Earl  Peace !!!

I didn't really get a chance to know you grandfather earl, but the little time that we spent together I got to know that you are a really good man, and will truly be missed. Much love, and prayers being sent. Godbless! AMEN

Brother Earl, I only met you once and your love for Jesus and great sense of humor was wonderful. You made me feel like I knew you forever. Your kindness and gentle spirit will never be forgotten. Well done good a faithful servant. Prayers for your loved ones.  Oh the joy of being with our Savior. We are left to mourn your loss.

Grandfather Earl, I wasn't fortunate enough to have you around as much as I wanted when I was growing up, but I always looked up to you and cherished you as my grandpa.  Even as a grown woman, you still picked me up a foot off the ground, gave me a tight hug, and big kiss everytime I saw you.  You were a wonderful man that I'll have precious memories of forever.  Heaven is lucky to have you, but we sure will miss you down here.  I love you!

Our dearly beloved Bro. Earl we thank you so much for all that you have given to Christian Fellowship Mission. You stood with Bro. Lee and were faithful and dedicated. You traveled miles to church three times a week for years, you had the kindest, giving, heart. You witnessed of the love of God every where you went, you were not ashamed of the gospel.We will cherish the fond memories of church services, your sermons, you singing and praising the Lord with your whole heart, church picnics with baptizing and most of all your smile and the joy of the Lord that you had. There are not enough words to say how much we love and appreciate you. We are glad you are finally home.

Uncle Earl you were a predominant male figure in my life; especially during my childhood when I needed it the most. You have influenced me and the person I am today. You taught me so much about life. You taught me about God, about forgiveness, kindness, charity, respect and love. Some may look at you and be intimidated but to me you were a gentle giant. I will always remember you as being one of the most highly respected men in my life and will cherish all the great memories you have given me. I will find peace in knowing that you are in a place you have preached about for as long as I can remember. I can see you pacing up and down the isles of heaven hearing you passionately preach God's word. God definitely has big plans for you up in heaven. Until we meet again.... Love, Carie

The life of a man is the life of a tree.
The seed is planted, nurtured and cared for,
 but it must bear the many storms of life.
His winters are cold and lonesome,
but his summertimes are warm and his springtimes  joyful.
His autumns are busy,
for he sheds his bark, preparing for the cold winter once again.
A man has much the same life.
He prepares for many things,
has sorrow in winter and joy in spring. 
A man has many friends,
many like the leaves of a tree. 
As some friends go, so do the leaves.
Memories and friendships, grow dark and dim,
like the leaves in autumn fall to the ground forgotten and lost.
The tree dies and snow covers the ground where they together once stood.
 But then, after the sorrow, the joy of springtime comes
 giving the weeping a day of beauty, a day no longer a day of grief. 
The tree and the man are never forgotten,
for many anew grow in their places.
For the cycle never ends, and the circle always continues.
The lives of those trees that have fallen will go on, 
just as a man's life shall go on through the love and hope of his family. 
The life of a man is the life of a tree. 
Many leaves, many memories, many sorrows, and many joys. 
Always together, never alone.

Bro. Earl I will see you again my dear brother in the Lord. One word sums up everything that I know about you and that is love. You have shown and given me and my family so much love. You have truly been an inspiration to me with your faithfulness to the Lord. Heaven truly is sweeter with you there, and my Dad is so glad to see you. So many from Christian Fellowship Mission are having a family reunion with you now. I'll see ya soon my Brother I love you with all my heart, you are one of my Godly examples here on this earth. 

The Lord has said to you well done thou good and faithful servant enter into the joys of the Lord. Praise the Lord! Love and prayers to Pat and the Locklear family.

Grandpa Earl, I'll miss you always and forever. I'm so sorry it was so hard for me to come visit. One day I'll see you again in a much better world! Such a respectable man in my eyes and I'll never forget the positive impact you had in my life. Love you!
