Prior to moving to Florida Esse was a lifelong Michigan resident, born and raised in Detroit. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 38 years. Esse enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and riding his Harley. He also served as the Harley Davidson Muskegon Chapter Director for 4 years. Although Esse had many roles in life being a loving Papa was his favorite.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 21 years, Sally; children, Pam (Bill) Harrison, Steve Abdelnour, Johnathan (Julie) Sharrette, Cindy (Bill) Gruppen, Patti (Herb) Valsor; his beloved grandchildren, Brandon, Montana-Mae, Coleton, Austin, Gavin, Breanna, Bryce, Britta, and Brynzee; and his sister, Marion Abdelnour. Esse was preceded in death by his parents Redwin "Red" & Mary Abdelnour.
Visitation for Esse will be Friday, May 19 from 10am until the time of service at Noon at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers the family is encouraging memorial contributions to be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
