Mrs. Geneva Williams

Geneva Williams, age 89, passed away peacefully Monday, November 29, 2010 in Dade City, Florida. She was born July 31, 1921 in Cunningham, Kentucky. She married Thurman M. Williams, June 28, 1941 in Paducah, Kentucky and moved to Detroit, Michigan. She retired from Cottage Hospital, Grosse Pointe, Michigan in 1985 after 20 years working in the hospital laboratory. In 1991 she moved to Zephyrhills, Florida and loved her home and walking faithfully every day. In May 2009 she moved to West Winds Assisted living where she resided and was cared for by their loving and caring staff. In September 2009 Gulfside Regional Hospice provided additional support to her care there. She was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton Township, Michigan and attended First Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, Florida. Everyone said “ to know her was to love her”. She is survived by her children Judith K. (Earl)Ezzo of Michigan and Florida, Gerald E. Williams, of Thailand; grandchildren John S. (Jenny) Ezzo of Michigan, Shelly Williams of Nevada, and Lisa M. (Ken) Dubay of Arkansas; great grandchildren Shelby Hope Ezzo of Michigan, Jacob D. Greenleaf of Michigan, Hannah E. Greenleaf, of Michigan, Sawyer C. Dubay of Arkansas, and Skylar K. Dubay of Arkansas; brother Thomas W.( Betty) King of Reidland, Kentucky; nieces Marlin Wainscott, Aimee (Gary) Harrell, Lynda (Mike) Young, all of Paducah, Kentucky; numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Thurman M. Williams; parents Euel L King and Janie (Piper) King;. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 14, 2010 3:00PM to 8:00PM, and Wednesday December 15, 2010 9:00AM until time of service 10:00AM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township. Burial in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
