Gloria Chase, age 84, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, in Troy. She was born February 8, 1926, in Detroit. Family members said she loved to travel to casinos and play bingo. She was a longtime member of the Destroyer Escort Group. She is survived by her children, Chuck (Debbie), Karen (Steve) Smith and Karl (Linda); grandchildren, Diana (Bob) Baker, Steve (Karen Sue), David (Shannon), Michelle (Mike) Adams and Douglas (Anne); eight great-grandchildren; sibling, Bob (Delores) Cartwright; sister-in-law, Jeanne Cartwright. She is predeceased by her husband, Lewis. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-8 p.m., with a funeral service Thursday, 11 a.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township. Burial will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.
