Ida had a gift for making friends everywhere she went, bringing warmth, kindness, and a listening ear to those around her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—word puzzles, a good book, and her favorite TV shows—but nothing brought her more happiness than doting on her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her family was the heart of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She was incredibly proud of her work with St. Michael Catholic Church, where she was a founding member. She was also deeply involved with The Social Community. Her dedication and service touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on those she worked alongside and those she served.
Ida was the devoted wife of the late Frank for 52 years and a loving mother to Paulette (Earl) Gloden and Fran (Jerry) Henderson. She was a proud grandmother to Erin Gloden (John Thomas), Earl “Frankie” Gloden (Kiley Abel), Brad Henderson (Elizabeth), and Robert Gloden (Kari), and a doting Nana to Nickolas, Tyler, Veronica, Zoey, Brielle, and Wyatt. She also leaves behind her precious great-great-granddaughters, Amelia and Elizabeth. Ida’s love extended beyond her immediate family to many cherished nieces, nephews, and close friends who will miss her dearly.
An in state for Ida will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48313, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
