Joan did many things throughout her lifetime, but her very favorite job was being a seamstress. She followed in the footsteps of her grandfather and learned this incredible skill. Beginning when she was a little girl he would bring different material back from France and Joan would make little outfits for her porcelain dolls. That talent continued on for many years. Joan also enjoyed volunteering at the library, the church and helped out every election at the voting polls. She was known to the Mt. Clemens Fire department as the Apple Pie Lady since she would always bring them special treats. Joan loved to do many things, but what meant most to her heart was her family. Her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren meant the world to her as she did to them.
Joan is survived by her children Jerry (Debbie), Janis (Terry), & Julie (Keith); Grandchildren Nathan, Hailey, Jacob, Jason (Meghan), Kyle (Jessica), Coty (Chris), & Madison (Aaron); Great Grandchildren, Elijah, Alanarose, Isaac, Ethan, Sienna Storm, Harper, Liberty, Braxton, Nolan, Watson & Sutton; Twin Sister Janet; and Brother in law, George.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Gerald; Parents, Francis & Christine; Brother in Law, Tony and Sister in Law Naomi.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Louis Catholic Church, 24415 Crocker Blvd., Clinton Township, Michigan 48036.
