Joseph Brister, age 81 of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away on January 24, 2025 with family around him. He was the beloved husband of Arlene Brister for 56 years; Loving father of Beth Cristobal and Brian Brister; Treasured grandfather of Michaela Cristobal and the late Alexa Jade Cristobal; Also survived by his brother Robert Brister of Houston, Texas.
Joe spent his career as a skilled trades worker. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Cremation will take place, and he will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven in Warren, MI (iheartdogs.org).
