So sorry I never got to see Joe before his passing He was a great guy to know and be around. We hung together while I grew up in Roseville and I do remember when Joe was in the Navy and  I entered the Air Force in 1969 Sorry I do miss you bud.

Joe Celeste was truly a joy to work with and from all the wonderful pictures posted I can tell that he was an even greater joy to have as a Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend.  My family and I offer our deepest condolences at this time of great loss.

My prayers go out to you and your family during this challenging time.  May the God of ALL comfort, strengthen you. And, may you always cherish those special memories in that great big thoughtful heart of yours.

To my brother-in-law, Joe, this little space cannot hold all the words I would like to write about you.  I am grateful for all of the great times we had together.  
We both seemed to think alike and shared a competitive nature.  Ok, so you beat Diane and I in the Euchre tournament this past Christmas Eve.      
We've also shared in so many special things over the years......we were a bridesmaid/groomsmen couple; Godparents for Valerie, and we participated in each other's weddings to just name a few.  We also shared (fought over) cannolis and the leftover bits of shake-n-bake chicken stuck to the aluminum foil!

I'm glad it was God's plan to bring you into our family, but now he has called you back home to be with him.  We will all be reunited again someday at that big party in Heaven.  In the meantime, please take care of my little "rat dogs" that have already passed on. 

To Steve, Tony and  your families:  I feel you were lucky to grow up having a very hands-on, loving dad.  He really loved all of you; his sons, daughters-in-law and his grandkids.  You made his life special and definitely brighter and more fun.  I am sure you will keep Joe's memory alive in your little one's lives since he was taken from them at such an early age.  I am truly sorry for your loss.

To my sister Diane:  There is absolutely nothing I or anyone  can say to take away the pain and empty space in your heart now that Joe is gone.  But he was extremely lucky to have picked you for his wife as you always took such great care of him up to the end and throughout all of the illnesses he endured in your married life.  Your love for him helped you to really uphold that "in sickness and in health" aspect of your wedding vows.   You should be very proud of all that Joe and you have accomplished in your 40 years of marriage.  Together you raised two wonderful sons and through their children, Joe's and your legacy can live on.  We will all miss him very, very much.  Just remember I love you and am always here for you if you need me.

Great memories is what I will always remember about Joe. He was one of the very first people I met when I moved to Michigan and his humor is what kept me going everyday.  May the Celeste Family continue to seek God during this time and know that Joe's humorous spirit live in our hearts forever!

Diane and family, we lost a good guy today.  It's hard to put into words the gem of a man he really was.  As I struggle to write this I have so many memories of Joe that make me laugh and today make me cry.  He loved his family and was a loyal friend and coworker that would do anything for you.  His smile, his jokes, his "are you crazy lady?" and his eagerness to have a potluck at the drop of the hat are all such sweet Tire Group memories with Joe. Thank you for sharing him with us Diane, we will never forget our sweet Joe.  Love you both.

From the time Diane introduced you to me at the Wishing Well I could tell you two clicked.  You brought an Italian influence into our Polish Golda family!  You were such a proud father, teaching your sons sports and even helping manage their teams, and even a prouder grandfather!  Ive enjoyed sharing many experiences with you like through the years like camping at Kings Island, enjoying your cottage in Gladwin, bowling, playing games (who cheated?), and teasing about sports teams and government employees, even after you became one.
You had many difficult experiences like having to change careers after l7 years with 7 UP, loss of your parents and ours, and of course health issues and hospitalizations with colitis and of course cancer, but you never complained at least to me.  You were like a brother to me and I will really miss you. I lit a candle because life has seemed dimmer since you left us on Monday. I worked with Joe at TACOM.  What a great guy.  He always had a smile on his face.  I'll never forget Joe and the jokes and good times we had at work.   My condolences to his family.

So sad to hear.  Joe was a good man and his spirit will live on. We always used to fist bump when we saw each other in the halls of TACOM.

Joe, your smiling face was looking at me every morning when I walked down the aisle for the first few years at TACOM.  The HMMWVs were always in some sort of trouble, but, you were always upbeat.  Thanks for all of the lessons.
