Joyce S. McAuliffe, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 75. Born with an amazing sense of humor and a zest for life, Joyce always knew how to brighten a room with her infectious laughter and spirited personality. Joyce had an incredible ability to stay busy and found joy in the simplest pleasures, especially when indulging her sweet tooth.
She was renowned for her warm hospitality, frequently hosting guests and organizing large family gatherings. These events were highlights of her life, giving her the perfect opportunity to spoil her grandson, Shawn, whom she cherished more than anything else. A lover of games and adventure, Joyce enjoyed playing cards and visiting casinos. Her annual trips to Las Vegas were a testament to her vibrant spirit and love for excitement.
Joyce was a devoted mother to Kelly (John) Anderson, and Ronald McAuliffe. She was the cherished grandmother of Shawn McLaughlin. She was the dear sister of the late Gerald (Katie) Keahn, Judy (Joe) Ross, and Ronald (the late Sue) Keahn. Joyce's love extended to her nieces and nephews, including Cheryl Ross, Kevin Ross, Kim Blahofski, Chris Keahn, Colleen McAuliffe and Jennifer McAuliffe. She was also the great-aunt to Brandon Ross, Carrie Ross, Eric Ross, Adam Ross, Autumn Blahofski, Gage Blahofski, and Jaxson Ross.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the joy she brought into their lives. The family will accept visitors from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
