Judith A. Thun

Our dear aunt is in God’s hands now after passing away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the age of 83. She was one of the daughters born to Vivien and Stephen Ellias on June 6, 1936 in Detroit Michigan. She was married to John “Jack” Thun until his death in 2004. Although she never had children of her own she was a loving and caring aunt to David (Pam) Bittner, Robert Bittner, Diane (David) Jones, Dan Bittner and Mary Denise (Brian) Hull. She was also a great aunt to 12 of their children.

Judy worked most of her life at DTE as an executive secretary. She was an avid golfer and often vacationed in Gulf Shores Alabama and traveled all over Europe and Australia. Aunt Judy enjoyed telling stories of growing up with her late sister Joan Bittner, Joan’s family, and her parents. She had many fond memories of her lifelong friends and neighbors and would enjoy her luncheons and other activities with them. She also spoke highly of her housekeeper, Kristy Budnick, and considered her part of her family.

Rest in peace Aunt Judy. You are loved and will be missed.
