Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1971-1991. His service took him many places including Thailand and the Netherlands. Ken was a member of the VA and local Vietnam Veterans Chapter 154. He worked at De La Salle Collegiate High School for 10 years following his retirement from the service. Ken was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and singer in their classical choir. He was also member of the Knights of Columbus- St. Michael Chapter. Ken enjoyed traveling especially to warmer places. He was dependable and always prompt (an Arnold trait) Ken was very loving and caring and helpful to others.
Ken is survived by his brother, Thomas (Marcia) Arnold, their children: niece Kelsey Arnold and godson Cameron Arnold; a sister-in-law, Kathy Arnold; Godmother Jeanne Arnold, Uncle Donald Arnold, and Aunt Doris Schumacher. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Lawrence Arnold; and many aunts and uncles.
The family will greet friends from 3-8pm with a 7pm Scripture Service followed by a Knights of Columbus presentation on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI 48035. Funeral in-state will be Saturday, March 30, from 9am until Mass at 9:30 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. Burial will be at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
Memorial contributions can be made in Ken’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or “I support the 1%” Veterans Food Bank, or the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 154.
