Kenneth L. Blenc, Jr., age 83, of Harrison Twp., Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born on June 16, 1942, in Wyandotte, Michigan, and lived a life defined by service, hard work, and dedication to his family.
Ken graduated from Lakeview High School and went on to serve his country with pride in the National Guard. His commitment to duty, however, extended beyond his service in the military. At the age of 14, he began working alongside his father in the family business, Blenc Heating and Cooling. Through years of hard work and determination, Ken eventually took over the business when his father retired, continuing the legacy of providing excellent service to the community. He married Christina Kryska on November 21, 1969 and built their life together.
Ken’s career was not confined to the family business alone. After retiring from Blenc Heating and Cooling, he transitioned to work at Home Depot, where he gave many more years of dedicated service before retiring for good.
In his later years, Ken enjoyed the chance to relax and unwind after decades of hard work. His family and friends remember him fondly as a loving and dependable man who cared deeply for those around him.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of nearly 56 years, Christine; his children: Ann Marie (Steve Koliba), Karen, and Kenneth, III; brother, David (Karen); nephews: Derek, Brian, and Dalton (Lisa); sister-in-law, Cheryl; and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margaret, and brothers, Dennis and Ronald.
The family will greet guests on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 10:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 38775 Prentiss St., Harrison Twp., Michigan. Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp., at a later time.
