Kenneth Dean Rooks, age 76, of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. He was born July 5, 1948 in Mt. Clemens Michigan. He married Renae L. Rooks on July 6, 1985 in Eastpointe, Michigan.
Ken loved sports. He played catcher in baseball while in high school. As an adult he played and coached hockey. Other interests were Karate, golf and scuba diving where he was involved in recovering the anchor from the Edmond Fitzgerald. He enjoyed being with his wife, Renae, transporting her horses to various shows while she competed in dressage. They also enjoyed snowmobiling and for several years spending summers on their boat with their dogs in life jackets. The two of them also enjoyed training dogs in classes in Canada. Traveling was in their blood. One of their favorite trips was on their honeymoon to the Calgary Stampede in Alberta, Canada. Ken got a kick out of planning mystery trips for Renae and even a few for other family members.
Ken worked in automotive design. Later he went into promotional productions and became a member of the Chamber of Commerce, which was his passion.
