Larry proudly served in Vietnam for the United States Army from 1962 - 1965. For 12 years after, he was a paratrooper that displayed courage and discipline, qualities that defined his character throughout life. Larry also took immense pride in showing support to prisoners of war (POW), visiting the travel wall quite often.
He was a loving and kind man, with a heart that knew no bounds. His devotion to family was evident in the warmth and support he provided to those he loved. His sense of humor brightened the lives of all who had the privilege to know him. Larry had a deep passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, finding freedom and joy on the open road. He also celebrated a remarkable 47 years of sobriety, serving as an inspiration to others on their own journeys of recovery. He was a lifetime member of the Macomb Alano Club, where he shared his strength, hope and experience with others seeking recovery. Larry will be dearly missed by all of those that he knew.
