Lawrence Thaddeus Muszynski

Lawrence (Larry) Thaddeus Muszynski, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Larry was born on January 17, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Thaddeus and Stella Muszynski.

In 1960, Larry graduated from St. Cyril and Methodius. After graduation Larry joined the United States Navy. Larry served aboard the helicopter carrier USS Thetis Bay LPH-6 which carried President Kennedy’s helicopters during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After serving in the Navy, Larry became a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7573 in New Baltimore, Michigan.

Larry spent 34 years of his career working for AT&T. Five years before retiring, Larry was sent to Saudi Arabia to supervise the new installation of cell sites for the whole country. He worked both locally and internationally, and enjoyed traveling for work and for pleasure.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Yvonne; son, Mark (Teri); grandchildren: Jessica and Lauren; brothers: Rick and Ted (Maryann); sister-in-law, Cindy; nieces, Karin (Joby) and Angela (James); great-niece, Aria; and best friends: Dan (Nancy) Beauregard and Charlie (Cathy) Weinert.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus and Stella Muszynski, and brother, Bob.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, March 21st, 2025 at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 E 14 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48312.
