

Born April 21, 1932 in Cullman, AL the son of the late, Pearl Mae and John Harlan, passed away May 29, 2013 at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo Kilgo and Wally Brown; sister, Faye Cross; grandson, Kenny Kilgo; and son-in-law, Eric Cetnar. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 62 years, Lillian Faye Thomas; children, Kenneth (Donna), James (Kathy), Kathryn (Richard) Brown, Diann (William) Kerry and Susan Cetnar; 17 loving grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Harlan is also survived by his sisters, Vi Olsen and Johnny Tykla and brother Hank. Harlan was part owner of KCK Tool & Die of Hazel Park and a proud retiree after many years of service. Harlan will be remembered not only as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather but also for his great sense of humor and generous spirit. The family will receive friends Friday, June 7th, 3:00 – 9:00 pm at the Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road (North of 15 Mile) Clinton Township. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 8th at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, for those desiring, the family appreciates memorial contributions to the Karmanos Cancer Institute, 4100 John R. St., Detroit, MI 48201 in memory of Harlan.
