Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Marion Sosnowski; Loving mother of Diane Buckley (Mike), David Sosnowski and Michael Sosnowski; and treasured grandmother of Michael Buckley. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Hicks and Clarence Hicks.
Lorraine lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her strength, faith, and love for family. She was a hardworking woman who took pride in the things that she did, especially in caring for her home and maintaining a beautiful yard filled with flowers. She found joy in simple pleasures, from bowling and working on jigsaw puzzles to trips to the casino with her beloved “Roseville Teenage Seniors” group. A devout Catholic, Lorraine was a longtime parishioner of St. Angela Parish in Roseville until its closing, and later of Holy Innocents Parish, where she found great comfort in her faith until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Above all, Lorraine cherished time with her family, who will forever remember her as a strong, caring, and loving presence in their lives.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 2-6 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038. A brief in-state gathering will follow on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 9 AM until time of funeral mass at 9:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48313. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
