Martin was the father of Dale Roy and the brother of Rochelle (Steve) Igrisan and Cheryl (Mark) Boyd. He will also be missed by his many nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael (Mary) Roy and John Roy.
A man who valued the simple joys in life, Martin especially enjoyed deer hunting and spending time outdoors. Each year, he took great pride in planting pumpkins, a tradition that brought him joy and connection to the land he loved.
Over the course of his life, Martin built a meaningful career marked by dedication and service. He first worked as a lumber salesman, where he developed a reputation for his honesty and dependability. Later, he pursued his passion for helping others by becoming a registered nurse, a role in which his compassion and care made a lasting impact on those he served.
A memorial gathering for Martin will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
