Michael L. Brink Sr., age 74 of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2023. He is the beloved husband for 53 years to Janet Brink; Loving father of Michael Brink Jr. (Erin) and Jason Brink (Jessica); Treasured grandfather of Owen, Isaac, Lillian, Elise, and Alyssa; Dear brother of Ruth Wicks (Guy), Robert Matheny, and Judy Snyder (Warren).
Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a proud US Army retiree (First Sergeant), having served honorably for 25 years, with time served during both the Vietnam Conflict and Desert Storm. He actively participated with his comrades in arms with the local Chapter 154 Vietnam Veterans Group. Mike also worked for the United States Post Office for more than 30 years, retiring as a supervisor. Mike enjoyed bowling, working on and collecting cars (both classic and military vehicles), deer hunting and spending time at his cabin in St. Helen. Most of all, Mike loved being a grandfather and spoiling his 5 grandchildren who were the joy of his life. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 1-8 PM with a military honors service at 7 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan. Final resting place, Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
