Michael John Miller

Michael John Miller age 72 of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away on December 31, 2025, leaving behind the legacy of a hardworking life defined by dedication, quiet strength, and a generous heart. A skilled mechanic by trade, Michael had a lifelong love for automobiles and could often be found working on engines or talking cars with those who shared his passion.

Outside the garage, Michael enjoyed watching NASCAR and listening to rock and roll, interests that brought him simple joy and comfort. He was a devoted provider who worked tirelessly for his family, never seeking recognition, only doing what needed to be done.

Michael was especially proud of his daughter, Shelley, and never missed a track or cross-country event of hers, faithfully showing up to support her every step of the way. Though he tended to keep to himself, those who truly knew Michael understood his big heart, loyalty, and quiet kindness.

Michael will be remembered for his work ethic, his love of automobiles and racing, and the steady presence he was to the people he cared for most. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the family he loved deeply.

Michael is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon; their daughter, Shelley (Chris) Strahan; granddaughters: Sienna, Chelsea, and Kendra; siblings: Margie (Tony Syrocki), Peter (Tidge), and Thomas (the late Terri McLaughlin); along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Pius and Mary Jean Miller; and siblings, Dan (Jane) and Barb (Rich) Pitlik.
