Dearest Joan, I can only begin to imagine the pain as I know how close you were to your mom and all you did for her throughout the years. May God bless you and hold you in His loving arms.

All our hours spent shopping, all the wonderful lunches we shared.  And the laughter in the small store down in Indiana after dad dragged that small broken wagon to the car!  Did you ever think you could laugh so hard?  We had tears in our eyes and the stares of everyone in that store....
I thank you for the gift of music-it will be a part of my life until I leave this earth.  You attended everything I ever played for and cheered the loudest.  I especially loved the holiday dinners shared at our home.  Be it a Memorial Day picnic or a Thanksgiving Feast.  Thanks for always making the mashed potatoes and gravy-they were the best.
Also so glad every time I saw a nice bouquet of flowers I picked them up for you.  You always said "Give me my flowers now, I can't see them when I'm dead."

I am glad I was always there for you.  In the middle of the night, during a snowstorm, when you broke your hip, when your car died, after your car accident.  When you needed something, anything fixed you called me and I always came because I loved you and could never not care about my grandma.  You understood how I was losing my hearing better then anyone and I understood how hard the tinnitus was for you.  I  glad you were always a part of my entire life!  May you be at peace now.

You have a heart of gold and were the most grateful person I know. For four months you fought so hard to stay with us against all odds, you were so brave. I will cherish all the hours and quite time we had together to just talk and hold your hand. Your sweet girls will hold your memory in their hearts forever. And yes, you will be surrounded by pink flowers.

From all of us at St. John's Church we send our sympathies and prayers knowing what you have been through the last year.  Gods blessings, He is always with you.

I am grateful we were as close as a mother and daughter could be for so many years.....I am heartsick I was unable to hug you one last time, say I love you and let you hear it.  You now know what is in my heart and I pray you are at peace and, at last, happy.  Life goes on and I will make mine the best it can be and not look back.

I will miss you and love you always, I am so grateful to have you in my life for 60 years
