Peter was a hard-working plastering contractor. His interests were bowling, hunting, fishing, enjoying hockey games, watching his 6 sons play hockey and attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. Peter enjoyed summers at his cottage with friends and family in Caseville. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church and Assumption Grotto Church for many years.
Though he may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of family love honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Peter is survived by his wife, Betty of 71 years; six sons and one daughter: Peter (Lisa) Taormina, Garrett (Paula) Taormina, David (Sheila) Taormina, Cindy Taormina (Phil Isgro), Angelo (Susan) Taormina, Michael Taormina, and Joe (Kristy) Taormina; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; siblings: Mary Loria, and Jo (Jack) Wood; as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo & Catherine Taormina; and sister, Nancy Loria.
We find comfort in knowing that Peter’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
