Raymond "Ray" Beeman, Born at home in Little Rock, Mississippi on February 20, 1939 to John Ivy Beeman and Ora Rhodes. His older siblings include Gelora, Maggie, Faye and Randolph. Younger siblings include Larry and Joan.
Ray grew up on a small farm in Mississippi. At age 17, after graduating from high school and helping his father put in the cotton crop, he came to "Michigan to seek his fortune." He thought if he could make $1.00 an hour he'd be rich. He was hired as a stock boy at J.L. Hudson in Detroit and his pay was $1.00 an hour. Just before his 18th birthday he was hired at Dalcrum Tool and Die, went to Macomb College and became a journeyman tool maker. In 1976 Ray started his own company, Centennial Mold, Incorporated. As a leader, Ray was respected by is staff and the industry. Due to health complications Ray sold the business in 1992. The blessing of retiring in 1993 was time to travel, spend more time with family, and focus on faith in Jesus through more involvement with his church, and many enduring friendships.
Ray was a loving husband to Margaret (Maggi) and a caring father to six children; Jeffery, Matthew, Michael, Laurie, Sherry and Cathie. Included in his family are his two son in laws, Darrell and Joe whom he loved as sons. He was cherished by his ten grandchildren; Mitchell, Emily, Myranda, Elizabeth, Jake, Donnie, Candice, Faith, Lucas and JJ.
God blessed Ray and called him home on the morning of October 20, 2017. Ray's hope for his family and friends would be that they know and love the Lord Jesus.
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believe in Me, though he may die, he shall live." - John 11:25
