Roy L. Downey

Roy L. Downey, age 88, of Clinton Township, passed away July 26, 2011. He was born May 23, 1923. Mr. Downey was a Veteran o the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Downey was a member of the F.O.E. # 1269 for 30 years. He was also an avid boater. Roy is survived by his loving wife Tilda. Dearest father of Karen (Larry) Peltier and Greg (Fran) Downey and stepfather of Carol Berry. Proud grandfather of Kim (Al) Mexico, Dana (Jerry) Gadette, Mandy (Derek) Wilcoxson, Shelby Guiles, Ryan Downey, Nicole Peltier, Tracy (Randy) Browning and great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Harry (Elaine) Downey, Marguerite(the late John)Smoke and Arlene (Hugo) Spinozzi. Predeceased by his wife, June, and siblings, Ralph, Aurelia, Lorraine and Elmira and grandson, Michael LaGatella. Friends may visit Thursday from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan. The funeral mass will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church; 40501 Hayes Road Sterling Heights.
