Tom and I went to see the Michigan Wolverines play the Wisconsin Badgers at Crisler Arena in 1996.  It's just one of many happy timesTom and I shared.  It was Saturday March 9, 1996. We sat in the BLUE SEATS. How fitting this was because Tom was a lifetime Michigan Wolverines fan. I can still hear him saying Go Blue. Michigan was behind at the half but in the second half they staged an incredible comeback and won the game. Tom and I stopped at a restaurant and had a delicious Hamburger and fries meal and we also had a beer together. I remember it like it was yesterday.  Tom is the reason why I am a Michigan Wolverines fan today and always will be. I handed down the tradition to my sons Paul Jr and Doug. Tom was a treasure in my life. I will never be able to pay him back for all the times that he looked after me. Tom is still watching over me today. I love you Tom. All my love today and always. I will never forget you. I still owe you for that  Detroit Lions bet that we had. I'm sorry that I didn't pay you back. I am going to try to find Theresa or Susan and pay them. Maybe they can get something for themselves or one of your Grandchildren. I'm sorry for anything that I may have done or said to hurt you in any way. Please forgive me Tom. I love you Tom. Until we meet again in Heaven. Tell everyone I said hello and please give everyone a hug for me. Especially Mom, Dad, Cheryl, George, Jim and Kevin. Thank you Tom for always being my big brother. I Love You Man. Give my love to everyone please.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Tom was a great guy back when we were teens and young adults.  Lost touch after everyone in our group got married, moved had children etc.  Tom offered and took me to my senior prom as I had recently broken up with my high school boyfriend.  He always treated me nice.  We had a lot of good times so sorry to hear of your struggles ;(    hopefully you are now at peace.  God Bless you and your family.  Barb (Finn) Kociemba

Tom, Your old buddy Rob Pankau. You were my roommate back in the 70's. We had a lot of great times together. You introduced me to my wife of 34 yrs. Terri. You never had a bad word to say about anyone. Was hoping to catch up to you after so many years. Well at least I now know where you are. Dad,
I don't even know where to begin with all the memories I have of you. You were a hard working man. I always remember people calling you a jack of all trades. You could fix just about anything. You always took the time to help me with school work & you were very serious about it. You made it be known that school was serious & nothing to mess around with. I will never forget all the times we went up north to Cheboygan. You took time to teach us to fish, teach us how to catch chubs down the street at the creek, and even teaching me how to use the proper fishing lure to catch a certain fish at a certain time of the day or night. I remember you setting your alarm to wake up before the sun was up to go out and fish because that was the "good time to go" you would say. I have many good memories as I became a mother & you & Katie came to the hospital to visit me & Anna when she was first born & you brought her a big Care Bear. You always tried to come to the baptisms & birthday parties but I know as the years went by it became harder for you. You supported & helped me through some very hard times & I am grateful for everything you have done for me, for the traditional values you instilled in me & for the unconditional love you showed me & your granddaughters even in the depths of depression. I am very happy that I was able to see you March 16th & that my girls were also able to see you & hug you they have a very fond last memory of seeing you. You will be missed so very much that I can't even put it in words. I know you are in a much better place. Your memories will stay alive & will forever be in my heart.

Uncle Tom, I wish I could have spent more time with you. I remember having family get-togethers and watching you pull up to our house and I always used to get so excited. I remember you as being kind hearted, intelligent and super funny. I'll always remember you as being that way. I'm sad that you're gone, but I'm warmed to know that you're in a better place. Say hello to grandma for me. I love you! May you rest in peace.

My fondest memories of my father are of the trips we took and the weekends we spent together when we were young. One of the things I admired most about him from my childhood was how hard working he was. He would get up, turn in some classic rock, and start about his day. He would fix things, now the lawn, build something, work on this or that. But what I truly admired about this, was how high his expectations were. I remember when Theresa got a little older and she had to cut the grass. He would go out after her and check her work. If she missed a spot, he would make her redo it. We hated it when we were kids! Now I understand! 

When we were young, my father liked to listen to music, sing watch sports and try to scare us in the basement by turning off the lights. He was much more light hearted back then. 

Dad, I know you are in a better place, that you get to be free now. And for that I am grateful. God carried you through much pain in this life and I imagine it became too much to bear. You get to be free now.

Dearest uncle tom, May God be with you I love you and miss you.

Tom was sweet, kind and good and had a golden heart,Tom would have given you the shirt off his back, I knew that about him. Tom would have taken on a bear to defend and protect me.
He wanted to be needed, cared for and loved, Jane, Tom and Katie came to Florida when I lost George, Katie drove.
Tom was very spiritual, remember that about him. 
I sure am going to miss you Tom.
You have left us far too soon.

Tom I miss you all day everyday. You enjoyed watching the Tigers 2014 opening game.  Then you laid your head back, closed your eyes and took a nap.  You looked so peaceful and relaxed. You had slipped in to eternal rest.
I am sad for me because I must go on without you.  I rejoice for you because all the pain you suffered is done.  You are with  the Lord and have the peace you so richly deserve.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Tom, was a very special person to me.  We had a very unique relationship, a spiritual connection, we were just meant to be together.Very easy going and accepting of each other.

He watched the Tigers 2014 opening game and laid his head back and closed his eyes to rest.
I thought he was just taking a nap.
Instead I realized he had slipped away in to eternal rest- never again to deal with any type of worldly discomfort. He looked so relaxed and peaceful.

We all feel he past too soon, he was too young- God choose the moment and I am certain that Tom was ready to go, he more than likely had said a silent prayer to be relieved from his constant pains.

We are all deeply sadden by his death. 
We must rejoice that all his pain has ended and he will forever be at peace, which he so richly deserves. 

I will miss seeing you everyday, Tom, but I know your spirit will be here from time to time momentarily and you will for ever be in my heart.

Uncle Tom, thank you for being the man you were and always being their for your family. I will always look back and remember wonderful family moments with you of the utmost fondness. On behalf of Lisa and myself, we pray that your soul will find rest in the Heavenly Father and be reunited with your wonderful mother (our grandmother) once again. I pray for peace in the hearts of your children during this time of sorrow. A fathers love is everlasting. We are blessed to have had you for the time we did.

You always could get me laughing and bring a smile to my face and I will never forget that. You are an incredible person and you will always be close to our hearts.

My favorite memory of Uncle Tom is that he taught me how to fish- to cast a fishing line and reel it in. I also remember him help with building my grandparents house on the lake. I remember him playing Euchre with my other uncles, father, and grandpa in the basement in Warren. My deepest sympathy to the loved ones.

Rest in peace uncle Tom.   I know we havn't seen one another in quite some time but I always wondered how you were doing and hoped to see you one day. Well I guess I will have to wait until we meet in heaven. I know I will see you there because you were a loving man who always showed us your excitement for life.
