

Walter Charles Kulczycki (b. September 11, 1942) went to be with his heavenly father on February 4, 2015. He was born in Highland Park to the late Charles and Helen Kulczycki. He grew up in Roseville with his sister Elaine (Balogh) Himes. His parents and sister preceded him in death. He graduated from Roseville High School and studied at Concordia University in Milwaukee. In 1964 he returned to Detroit and voluntarily joined the Unites States Army, where he was immediately deployed to Vietnam Walt married the love of his life, Pamela (Jayroe), and bought a home with a beautiful yard in Mount Clemens where they lived for 45 years. He will forever be remembered by his adoring children Chantal Lanning and Curt & Jennifer (Timkey) Kulczycki, treasured grandchildren Cameron & Caitlyn Lanning and Logan, Morgan & Lillian Kulczycki, in-laws Patricia & Robert Garrity, Peg Karas and Richard & Sue Jayroe, and by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom were blessed to know him. Walt was a faithful servant of the Lord and active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Mt. Clemens where he led and served multiple committees in the school and church.
Walt touched the lives of everyone he met with his gentle, cheerful and most generous spirit. He was a very proud American veteran and had a deep passion for cars, family vacations, socializing with his friends at the Lutheran Fraternities of America and spending time with family friends.
Family will receive friends Sunday, February 8, from 3-9 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield R., Clinton Twp., Mich., 48035. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9, 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 21400 S. Nunneley, Clinton Twp., MI, 48035. Internment will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester, Mich. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial tributes to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church & School.
