

Katie was full of life, she was truly a people person and enjoyed being around family and friends. One thing everyone knew about Katie was that she was a tremendous cook; her pleasure was cooking for the family and for her neighbors and friends. We all liked her famous Grandma Katie beans, tostadas, chili rellenos and enchiladas. Are we getting hungry yet?
Katie always remembered family's birthdays and anniversaries; it amazed us how she always remembered those dates. Katie is the one that invented and created "Bling" even before we knew what that word meant. She always had her hair fixed up, make up put on and lots of jewelry. Even if Katie did not go any where, she was dressed up like she was going to town. She was one classy lady.
Katie every year looked forward to her trip to Texas to visit here sisters, nephews and nieces. Katie would always be in prayer so that the Lord would make a way for her trip. It brought so much joy while she was their. The one thing Katie always mentioned is that when she arrived their, she was spoiled by her family and she knew that she was well loved. It meant the world to Katie to be with her family in Texas.
Katie enjoyed going to church and she instilled this to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She most recently attended The Rock Church where she was part of the church family. Katie had her special place in the church sanctuary; it will not be the same without her.
Katie left behind 4 Children, 15 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren.
