

Daniel G. Meehan, a resident of Clovis, CA, passed away Saturday, Sept 28th, 2013 in Fresno. He was born Nov 7, 1949 in Vancouver, BC, Canada and became a naturalized US citizen when he was seven, moving first to Seattle, WA and then eventually to southern California. He lived in Los Angeles and Orange Co.s until relocating to Clovis in 1988. He was the son of Adelene V Cleven and Thomas Edward Meehan, both deceased. His family immigrated from Norway, settled in the plains of Saskatchewan and then moved west to British Columbia, Canada.
Dan was an automotive technician by trade and had a life-long passion for classic car restoration. He completed his last masterpiece only days before his death. He was a graduate of Inglewood High School and began his automotive career at the age of 19. He retired early due to a back injury and was looking forward to adventures that would include RV travels all around the US and Canada. He loved relaxing at the Camp Sierra cabin and tinkering in his garage, playing golf and ice-cream with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terry, whom he met when he purchased his home in Clovis. In addition, Dan is survived by his daughters, Kristi Bowman and her husband Brett of Fresno; Stephanie Threatt and her husband, Robert, of Vista, CA. His step-sons, Sean Gallagher and his wife Kami of Fresno and D.J. Gallagher and his wife, Dana of Yamhill, Oregon & a step-daughter, Kelly (Don) Krier of Los Alamos, NM. In addition, he is survived by 9 beautiful grandchildren, whom he cherished: Anastasia, Andrew and Hayley Bowman, Jada and Chase Gallagher, Jaxen and Quinn Gallagher, & Audrey and Paige Threatt. He is also survived by his uncles, Ron (Marilyn) Cleven of Vancouver, Tennie (Margaret) Cleven of Los Angeles and George Aldcroft; his Aunt Marian (Bob) Nokleby of Everett, WA, and numerous cousins and many friends also survive him.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or to Camp Sierra c/o 724 Jasmine, Clovis, CA 93611.
